Many times I wonder, if I were my teacher, what I would see in myself. Surely I lacked self-confidence. Surely I had difficulty connecting easily with other kids - the acquaintances made in the classes didn't have the significance we give them today. There was also not the need that exists today. A need to recognize our feelings, our uniqueness, to accept one another, to talk about what we feel, and to respect what others around us feel. In the past, none of this was even on the table or it happened without much discussion. Or it didn't happen at all. In recent years, the word empathy has been passed from mouth to mouth, without anyone daring to explain it. This guide is made to do just that. I don’t say 'written', because it is primarily lived, it features activities that were implemented with small and larger children, with the ultimate goal of helping them get to know themselves. I had the joy of seeing their eyes sparkle, wondering why a teacher cares about how they feel, laughing when I laughed with them or discussed or played, and all this aimed at helping them find the best version of themselves. The activities are structured in the simplest way possible. With simple, practical and everyday materials, with easy instructions, divided into three parts: the action as it could unfold - be developed in kindergarten or in the small classes of primary school (grades 1, 2, and 3), how it could give an extra dose in the larger classes of primary school (grades 4, 5, and 6), and how it could also become a part of a child's daily life at home.
