Many parents feel they are floating, others are drowning, few feel comfortable swimming. I took a long time to understand what it means to be a parent. You are the one constantly looking for a life jacket. What words should I say, what actions should I justify, to not hurt, what kind of child will I raise, in what kind of world, how, only I know what I'm going through, how many sacrifices and how many life jackets I have sought. After all, it is not our fault that we were not born ready, nor our parents' fault that they did not prepare us. Even they came from a 'jump in and swim' philosophy.
