Many parents feel like they are floating, others are drowning, and few feel comfortable swimming. I was slow to understand what it means to be a parent. You are the one constantly looking for a lifebuoy. Which words should I say, which actions should I justify, how not to hurt, what kind of child will I raise, in what world, in what way, only I know what I'm going through, how many sacrifices I made and how many lifebuoys I searched for. After all, it’s not our fault that we weren’t born ready, nor our parents’ for not preparing us. They also originated from a “just dive in and swim.”
