Build a robotic crab! The robot detects the edges of any surface to turn, avoiding a fall. Activate it and place it on the table to see it perform impressive acrobatics. Read the entertaining facts included in the instructions and learn interesting information about robots.
OPERATION METHOD: The battery provides electricity to the small motor, which spins the rotor at high speed. The gears reduce the speed of rotation so that the wheels turn fairly slowly. It drives the two main wheels and a third, separate wheel at right angles to the others. This third wheel does not touch the table due to the cylinder. When the robot reaches the edge of the table, the cylinders pass over the edge, allowing the third wheel to go off the table. This makes the robot turn until the cylinders are back on the table. The eccentrics of the motor on the axle push the plates to which the legs and claws are attached to swing from side to side.
