Build your own wind turbine, watch it capture the wind and turn it into electricity! Read the entertaining facts included in the instructions and learn interesting information about wind energy.
HOW IT WORKS: The wind moves the air, and anything that moves has energy. The blade side converts solar energy into rotary force, causing the rotor to spin. The wind turbine captures wind energy and transfers it to the generator via the central shaft with the rotor and the shaft. The generator converts the kinetic energy of the rotor into electrical energy, which powers the LED. The wind vane makes the rotor face into the wind to ensure that it collects as much wind as possible. If the rotor is facing sideways instead of into the wind, the wind pushes the side of the wind vane, which causes the chamber to rotate until the rotor is facing the wind.
